COLON HYDROTHERAPY

Colon Hydrotherapy is often used for kick-starting a change to a healthy lifestyle. It is a gentle, safe and  highly effective treatment for constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, irritable bowel, abdominal pain and many other digestive complaints.

Many of these conditions cause pain and discomfort and allow toxins to build up and poison the body.

Symptoms of that toxicity can vary leading to

  • skin problems
  • headaches
  • lethargy
  • joint pain
  • halitosis (bad breath)
  • allergies
  • and general feelings of being unwell.

Colon Hydrotherapy is the introduction of warm, filtered water into the large bowel, in order to cleanse the bowel. The benefits of this treatment are rapid leading to improved energy levels, reduced pain and discomfort, help returning the body (gut) to normal function.

Amanda is a highly trained professional therapist, having trained at The National College of Colon Hydrotherapy.  This college offers the most comprehensive training for therapists in this field and is audited, regulated and accredited by ARCH, The Association of Registered Colon Hydrotherapists.  ARCH maintains the highest standards for this therapy to ensure your safety, protect your dignity, and provide a quality treatment experience.

For your first appointment you will be taken through a thorough consultation exploring your past and present health conditions, your diet and lifestyle. You will be shown the equipment and how it works whilst emphasising how it will be tailored to your specific needs. After your consultation a physical examination of your abdomen will take place by palpating the area for signs of congestion and discomfort. Privacy and discretion are important at all times and you will be able to get changed in private and remain covered for the entire treatment.

The gradual introduction of water into and out of the colon gently washes the area and provides a clean environment for healthy bacteria to flourish. Water pressure and temperature are carefully monitored and herbal extracts may be added to the water to enhance the treatment.
